Lacie Wright will be the new K-8 Reading Specialist/Reading Coach at Holdrege Public Schools. Originally, from the Holdrege/Loomis area, she is a Loomis graduate of 2003. After finishing her Bachelor’s degree for K-6 Education at the University Nebraska at Kearney in 2008, she went on to teach 5th grade in Bertrand. She then continued her career teaching at Southern Valley for 9 years, in both 1st and 3rd grades. Just this past year she was the Title 1 teacher for Wilcox-Hildreth.  She earned her Masters in Administration in 2015 through Wayne State University. Mrs. Wright has presented at multiple conferences and has received awards for the use of technology in her classroom. Currently, she resides in Holdrege with her husband, Kelly and four children(Lexie, Kallie, Tanner, and Gunner).
