Information
Absences
If your child is going to be absent, please call the school office before 8:00 am to inform us of the absence. If you know ahead of time that your student will be absent, please send a note, call the school office, or send an email to laurie.ness@dusters.org. We will attempt to contact you if your student is absent and you have not contacted us. If we do not have contact with you and are not informed of the reason for absence, the absence will be considered unexcused. It is also important that you inform us of the reason for the absence, especially when due to illness as we are required to report illnesses to the Health Department on Wednesdays.
Illnesses
With the colder weather comes an increase in illness. Ashley Billeter, our school nurse, reminds all parents that if your child has a fever of 100 or above, flu-like symptoms, vomiting, or diarrhea, he/she needs to stay home from school. Also, if your child has a fever, it needs to be normal without taking Tylenol or ibuprofen (Motrin) for 24 hours before coming back to school. Please consult your Student -Parent Handbook for more detailed information .
